Aims of Simashan Institute

• To work for promoting Indian cultural / martial arts all over the world.
• To promote general health education (formal and informal) for all age groups through good nutrition, exercises like aerobics /anaerobic, positive thinking, proper rest, so that they may be free from ailments.

• Produced a film on Indian Martial Art Silambam (Documentary Film) – DVDreleased by Former President ofIndia Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam,Jan.2008.

• Received the honour of releasing three books for the promotion of Indian Martial arts - Silambam and Yoga all over the Worldby the author Dr.Edward L.Powe from USA. Book Titled on: 1. “Black Martial Arts” Volume- ν, Dravidian displays of daring part-1 (The Tamil), 2. “Black Martial Arts” Volume-νΙ, Hanuman’s Warriors in Tamilnadu & Southern Kerala, 3. Black Martial Arts: Vol.Vll Cosmic Combat Yoga, The Six Face of Hanuman, Dan Aiki Publication, Madision, WI, USA, 2005, 2006 and 2009.

• Received the honourable award of Kalai Valar Mani for the promotion of Tamil Cultural art – Silambam all over the World from the Regional Centre for Art and Culture Dept. (Govt. of Tamilnadu) in the year 2005-2006.

• Received the honourable award “Vocational Excellence” for International Acclamation as Silambam Institute from Rotary Club of Madurai North-West in the year 2006.

• Received the award of Best Institute and Trainers for the promotion of Tamil Cultural art – Silambam all over the World from Yuva Kala Bharathi Madurai, Tamilnadu in the year 2007.

• Received the award of Best Institute and Trainers for the promotion of Tamil Cultural art – Silambam all over the World from Nehru Yuva Kendra Madurai, Tamilnadu (Govt. of India) in the year 2008.
